Srinagar, Jun 14: An earthquake of magnitude 5.1 on the Richter scale occurred in Afghanistan on Tuesday afternoon with tremors felt in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
 
As per a National Center for Seismology, the epicenter of the earthquake which occurred at 13:05 has been traced at Lat: 36.42 and Long: 71.23 at a depth of 180 km.
 
The location is 96km south east of Fayzabad, Afghanistan, the official said.
 
There were no immediate reports of any casualties.
