Budgam, September 23, The 11th phase of the Marriage Assistance Programme organised by the Noor-ul-Ain Welfare Foundation was held at Aliabad, near T.K. College, Lawaypora, Srinagar, during which 35 girls belonging to poor, needy and orphan families from different districts of Kashmir were provided financial assistance and essential items.
The welfare programme was aimed at supporting families facing financial difficulties in meeting the expenses associated with the marriage of their daughters. Police officers, Islamic scholars, social workers, local representatives, office-bearers, members and volunteers of the Noor-ul-Ain Welfare Foundation participated in the programme.
Police officer Shaista Mughal, Islamic scholar Mubashir Veeri, social worker Muntazir Momin, local representatives, foundation members and volunteers were present on the occasion.
The organisers said that under the 11th phase of the Marriage Assistance Programme, assistance was provided to 35 girls belonging to economically weaker and orphan families from different districts of Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion, Noor-ul-Ain Welfare Foundation Director Fayaz Ahmad Mir said that the foundation has been continuously undertaking welfare activities to support underprivileged and needy sections of society. He said the primary objective of the Marriage Assistance Programme is to provide support to families who face financial difficulties in bearing the expenses of their daughters’ marriages.
Fayaz Ahmad Mir said that the 11th phase reflects the foundation’s continued commitment to reaching out to needy families and supporting vulnerable sections of society. He expressed gratitude to donors, volunteers, foundation members and well-wishers for their cooperation in the welfare initiative.
He said that through public support and collective efforts, the difficulties faced by deserving families can be reduced to some extent and needy families can be supported in a dignified manner.
Speakers at the programme appreciated the initiative of the Noor-ul-Ain Welfare Foundation and said that collective efforts for social welfare are an important need of the time. They said that supporting poor, orphan and needy families not only helps reduce their financial difficulties but also promotes compassion, brotherhood and mutual cooperation in society.
The speakers urged people to actively participate in welfare activities and said that those who are financially capable should come forward to support needy families and cooperate with welfare organisations.
They also appreciated the role of volunteers and foundation members in identifying deserving families, distributing assistance, managing arrangements and conducting the programme.
Local residents also appreciated the efforts of Fayaz Ahmad Mir and the Noor-ul-Ain Welfare Foundation for continuing the Marriage Assistance Programme. They said such initiatives help reduce the financial burden on poor and needy families while also enabling them to live with dignity in society.
The locals urged welfare organisations, volunteers and social workers to further expand their services to reach more deserving families.
The organisers said that the Noor-ul-Ain Welfare Foundation would continue its welfare activities in the future and make every possible effort to support more deserving families.
At the conclusion of the programme, gratitude was expressed to the beneficiaries, donors, volunteers, foundation members, well-wishers and all those who contributed to the successful conduct of the programme.
