Srinagar, Sept 8 (JKNS): The National Conference (NC) on Tuesday paid tributes to party founder Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah on his 44th death anniversary at Naseem Bagh in Srinagar.
Details available with news agency JKNS stated that, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and NC president Dr Farooq Abdullah visited the grave of Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, where they offered floral tributes, performed Fateha and prayed for the departed leader.
Several NC leaders, MLAs, senior party functionaries, workers and supporters also gathered at Naseem Bagh to pay their respects to the late leader.
Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, popularly known as the “Sher-e-Kashmir”, founded the National Conference and served as the first elected Prime Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. He passed away on September 8, 1982. (JKNS)
