Karnah, July 29 (JKNS) : Following reports of certain anti-social and miscreant elements allegedly engaging in inappropriate activities in different areas of the border subdivision of Karnah over the past few days, local residents have urged the administration to take immediate and effective action against those responsible to ensure the maintenance of peace and public order.
Speaking to the media, SHO Karnah Javid Jan assured the public that the Karnah Police is fully committed to safeguarding the lives and property of the people. He said that the police, in coordination with the civil administration, is taking all necessary measures to maintain peace and stability in the region.
He appealed to the public not to pay heed to rumours, stating that the police is closely monitoring the situation and that operations are underway to identify and apprehend individuals involved in any suspicious or unlawful activities.
The SHO also urged residents to install CCTV cameras in and around their homes wherever possible.
He said that surveillance systems not only help prevent crime but also enable the police to identify and trace offenders quickly in the event of any untoward incident.
He further appealed to the public to immediately report any suspicious activity or the movement of unknown persons to the nearest police station or the concerned authorities.
He emphasized that strong cooperation between the public and the police is essential for maintaining lasting peace and security.
Residents expressed hope that the measures being taken by the police and the administration would yield positive results, and that those involved in such activities would soon be brought to justice, helping restore a sense of security among the people. (JKNS)
