Karnah, July 10 (JKNS): In a major outreach initiative aimed at strengthening grassroots governance and ensuring the saturation of beneficiary-oriented government schemes, the District Administration Kupwara on Friday organised a special multi-service facilitation camp at Toli Post for the residents of Jabdi and Bijaldhar villages in the border area of Karnah.
The camp offered a range of on-the-spot public services, including Aadhaar enrolment and updation, Ayushman Bharat Golden Card registration, e-KYC verification under the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department, and ration-related assistance for left-out beneficiaries.
Dedicated teams from the Health Department, Aadhaar Centre (CSC Tangdhar), and the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department remained present throughout the camp to ensure smooth and timely delivery of services.
A free health screening camp was also organised, where medical teams examined patients, provided consultations, distributed essential medicines, and offered healthcare guidance.
Jabdi village, identified under the Vibrant Village Programme (Phase-II), is receiving focused administrative attention to improve access to government services and ensure complete coverage of welfare schemes. As part of this initiative, the district administration has been conducting regular outreach programmes to deliver essential services directly to people living in remote and border villages.
During the camp, eligible residents completed Aadhaar updates, secured Ayushman Bharat Golden Cards, and fulfilled mandatory e-KYC formalities, enabling them to continue receiving uninterrupted benefits under various government welfare schemes.
The local residents appreciated the proactive efforts of the District Administration Kupwara for bringing essential public services to their doorstep and reaffirming its commitment to inclusive, transparent, and citizen-centric governance in far-flung border areas. (JKNS)
