According to the advisory as per news agency JKNS, all hotel owners and accommodation providers have been directed to verify the passport and valid visa of every foreign guest at the time of check-in.

Police have further instructed that Form C must be submitted online through the FRRO Form C Portal immediately after the guest checks in.

The advisory also directs all accommodation providers to maintain proper records of foreign nationals for inspection and cooperate with the police and other authorities whenever required.

Shopian Police warned that failure to submit Form C or furnishing incorrect information may attract legal action under the applicable provisions of law.

Emphasising the importance of compliance, the advisory stated that timely submission of Form C helps strengthen national security while ensuring safe and secure hospitality for visitors.

The advisory has been issued in the public interest, urging all stakeholders to strictly follow the prescribed procedures. (JKNS)
