Police said that simultaneously a Narco-Cordon and Search Operation (Narco-CASO) was launched in the same areas to crack down on drug trafficking and substance abuse.

During the operation, searches and verification drives were conducted to identify individuals allegedly involved in narcotics-related activities and take appropriate action as per law, the statement said.

Kulgam Police reiterated its commitment to maintaining peace and public order and said stringent action will continue against terror-supporting elements and drug networks operating in the district.

Further investigation and verification are underway, police added. (JKNS)
