Legal Fraternity Honours Justice Arun Palli Ahead of Supreme Court Elevation

Srinagar, May 30 (JKNS): The Jammu & Kashmir High Court Bar Association Srinagar and the Kashmir Advocates Association on Saturday organised a grand farewell function in honour of Chief Justice Justice Arun Palli following his elevation as a Judge of the Supreme Court of India, with judges, senior advocates, law officers and members of the legal fraternity gathering to celebrate his distinguished judicial career and contributions to the justice delivery system in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.

Srinagar, May 30 (JKNS): Jammu & Kashmir High Court Bar Association Srinagar / Kashmir Advocates Association Organises Farewell Function for Hon’ble Chief Justice Arun Palli on his Elevation to the Supreme Court of India

 

 

 

 

Srinagar | May 30, 2026: The Jammu & Kashmir High Court Bar Association Srinagar and the Kashmir Advocates Association jointly organized a grand farewell function today at Srinagar to honour and felicitate Hon’ble Mr. Justice Arun Palli, Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, on his elevation as a Judge of the Supreme Court of India.

 

 

 

 

The function was attended by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Arun Palli, Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, along with all the sitting Judges of the High Court. The event witnessed the gracious presence of senior members of the Bar, Advocates and Members of Bar Association, Law Officers of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, the Deputy Solicitor General of India (DSGI) Srinagar, officers of the High Court Registry, and members of the Subordinate Judiciary.

 

 

 

 

The farewell function was marked by warmth, respect, and deep appreciation for the distinguished judicial service rendered by Hon’ble Chief Justice Arun Palli during his tenure at the High Court. Members of the bar on the occasion highlighted his Lordship’s unwavering commitment to the principles of justice, his significant contributions in strengthening the judicial system in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, his landmark judgments, and his approachable and encouraging attitude towards the members of the Bar and litigants alike. The event celebrated not only his elevation to the apex court but also his exemplary role in upholding the rule of law and ensuring speedy and fair dispensation of justice.

 

 

 

 

The attending Judges of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh on the occasion were Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Hon’ble Mrs. Justice Sindhu Sharma, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rajnesh Oswal, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjay Dhar, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Mohd. Akram Chowdhary, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rahul Bharti, Hon’ble Ms. Justice Moksha Khajuria Kazmi, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Wasim Sadiq Nargal, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rajesh Sekhri, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Mohd. Yousuf Wani, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjay Parihar, and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Shahzad Azeem.

 

 

 

 

Members of the Bar expressed their heartfelt congratulations and extended best wishes to Hon’ble Chief Justice Arun Palli for his elevated responsibilities at the Supreme Court of India.
