Summer Vacations Announced for Colleges in Jammu Division’s Summer Zone from June 1 – July 15

Srinagar, May 30 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday announced summer vacations for all Government and Private Colleges falling in the Summer Zone of Jammu Division from June 1 to July 15, 2026.

Higher Education Minister Sakina Itoo shared the announcement through a post on X, as per news agency JKNS stating that the decision has been taken in view of the onset of the summer season and in the interest of the well-being of students and staff.

“Considering the onset of the summer season and in the interest of the well-being of students and staff, summer vacations are hereby announced for all Government and Private Colleges in the Summer Zone of Jammu Division from 1st June to 15th July 2026,” she said.

The Minister also extended her wishes to students, teaching faculty and staff for a safe, healthy and productive summer break.

The colleges are scheduled to reopen after the conclusion of the vacation period on July 16, 2026. (JKNS)
