The event was organized by the Gujarat Sahitya Akademi, Gandhinagar, and reflected a remarkable confluence of spirituality, folk tradition, and literature.

Under the Akademi’s “Bhajan-Bhavan” series, 51 books were launched simultaneously. These works are based on the spiritual experiences and poetic compositions of 51 renowned saint-poets and women saint-poets of Gujarat, along with biographical accounts of their lives.

The collective release of 51 saint literature volumes from a single platform marked a golden and inspiring moment in the history of Gujarati literature. The event symbolized not only the publication of books but also the celebration of the dignity of the mother tongue, the glory of the saint tradition, and cultural consciousness.

As part of the same series, the book “Trikamsaheb,” authored by Dr. Mukundchandra Nagar, columnist of “Vedvani” and writer for the daily Rajya Samachar, was also formally released virtually.

The book is an important research-based work centered on the life philosophy, spiritual practice, social vision, and teachings of Saint Trikam Saheb, a renowned saint of Kutch and a prominent figure of the Ravibhan tradition of the Kabir sect in Gujarat.

The book presents a serious and analytical study of Saint Trikam Saheb’s spiritual thought, message of social harmony, spirit of public awakening, and the philosophical depth of his poetic compositions.

The author connects the saint’s teachings with contemporary social contexts, emphasizing that saint literature is not merely a legacy of the past but a guiding light for present-day society. In a time when society faces numerous moral and ideological challenges, the teachings of Saint Trikam Saheb inspire the path of harmony, compassion, and truth.

The books were formally released by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel; the State Minister for Youth, Sports and Cultural Activities, Dr. Jayram Gamit; President of the Gujarat Sahitya Akademi, Bhagyesh Jha; General Secretary Dr. Jayendra Singh Jadav; and noted poet Madhav Ramanuj. In their addresses, the dignitaries described saint literature as the soul of Indian culture and emphasized the need for continuous efforts to preserve and promote the mother tongue.

Speakers highlighted that the teachings of saints have always conveyed messages of morality, equality, and humanity. Saint literature communicates life values in the language of the common people and plays a vital role in uniting society. The “Bhajan-Bhavan” series is a significant initiative toward connecting the younger generation with its roots and instilling pride in the mother tongue.

The ceremony witnessed the gracious presence of prominent literary figures of Gujarat, scholars of saint literature, researchers, and distinguished personalities from the cultural sphere. The audience warmly welcomed this historic occasion.

The simultaneous release of 51 saint literature works was not merely a literary achievement but a deeply inspiring moment reaffirming the harmony of saint tradition, folk spirituality, and cultural heritage. Held on the eve of International Mother Language Day, the event stood as a living testament to dedication toward the honor of the mother tongue and the timeless legacy of saint literature. (JKNS)
