Qazigund, July 15 (JKNS): A tragic road mishap inside the Navyug Tunnel in Qazigund on Tuesday claimed the life of a health department employee, while three others sustained injuries in the incident.
An official told news agency JKNS that two vehicles collided inside the tunnel, resulting in injuries to four individuals. “All the injured were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, where one of them, who was critically hurt, later succumbed to his injuries,” the official said.
The deceased has been identified as Tariq Ahmad, son of Abdul Aziz Wani, a resident of Banihal, who was working under the National Health Mission (NHM).
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation into the cause of the accident. (JKNS)
