Sopore, July 15 (JKNS): Police in Sopore have launched investigations into the deaths of two persons who died under mysterious circumstances in separate incidents on Tuesday in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

An official told news agency JKNS, Bilal Ahmad Sheikh (32), son of Gh Mohammad Sheikh and a resident of Behrampora Rafiabad, reportedly fell unconscious under unexplained circumstances inside his home. He was later declared dead.

Police have initiated proceedings under Section 194 of BNSS, and the body has been sent for postmortem to determine the cause of death, he said adding the body of Bilal was later handed over to the family.

In a separate case, Sumit Dabb (24), son of Chandan Dab and a resident of Demapore, Nagaland, who had been working as a maid/helper in Alsafa Colony, was also found in suspicious condition.

Police team led by SDPO Sopore reached the spot and shifted the body for medico-legal formalities and postmortem, while Investigation in this case is also underway under Section 194 BNSS, official said.

Speaking to news agency JKNS, SSP Sopore Iftikhar Talib confirmed both deaths and said that investigations are in progress to ascertain the exact causes. (JKNS)
