The exercise was carried out at strategically significant points to assess the alertness, preparedness, and coordination among different security agencies deployed for Yatra duties. The mock drill simulated various scenarios including response to potential threats, emergency evacuation, and crowd management.

Senior officers from Anantnag Police supervised the exercise, ensuring that the standard operating procedures (SOPs) were followed and refined where necessary. Special focus was laid on critical areas prone to congestion or high footfall, to test the efficiency of response teams and quick reaction units.

The mock drill was conducted without causing inconvenience to the Yatris or the general public, and the cooperation of citizens and pilgrims was appreciated. Such exercises are part of the routine preparedness protocol to strengthen on-ground capabilities and uphold the safety of all devotees participating in the Yatra.

Anantnag Police reiterates its commitment to the peaceful and secure conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025. (JKNS)
