On Wednesday, the DG CRPF visited key pilgrimage locations, including base and transit camps in south Kashmir, to assess on-ground arrangements aimed at ensuring a safe, smooth, and spiritually enriching pilgrimage for lakhs of devotees expected to participate, officials said.

The meeting in south Kashmir was also attended by top J&K Police officers.

At the Group Centre in Srinagar, the DG CRPF Singh chaired a high-level strategy meeting with senior officers and Commandants of valley-based units to review the overall security landscape and operational posture. Special focus was laid on mission readiness and coordination for the Amarnath Yatra, a CRPF spokesman said.

The CRPF plays a critical and multifaceted role in ensuring the security and smooth conduct of the Amarnath Yatra.

Earlier, during his visit to Recruit Training Centre (RTC) Lethpora Pulwama, Singh infused young recruits with fiery inspiration—recalling CRPF’s glorious legacy and urging them to rise as its future torchbearers.

He also inaugurated a new Administrative Block and interacted with the training staff, emphasising the need to prepare recruits for emerging threats and modern response strategies. UNI
