Teachers welcomed them back with warm greetings, and special morning assemblies were held in many schools to address safety concerns and boost morale.

Officials told JKNS that the decision to reopen schools was taken following a significant improvement in the security situation and a lull in firing along the Line of Control (LoC).

“The situation is being closely monitored, and schools have been instructed to remain vigilant,” an official said.

Parents, who had been worried about the safety of their children, expressed relief at the return to normalcy. “We thank the administration for prioritizing the safety of our children and ensuring that educational activities are back on track,” said one local resident.

The Education Department also confirmed that contingency plans remain in place should any emergency arise, and coordination with security forces is ongoing to ensure student safety in sensitive areas. (JKNS)
