The bill is aimed at aligning J&K’s GST law with amendments made in the Central Goods and Services Tax law.

According to officials, the amendments are regulatory in nature, focusing on tax regulation, and do not involve any recurring or non-recurring expenditure.

It may be recalled that after the imposition of central rule in J&K in 2018, the legislative powers of the J&K assembly had been vested with the Parliament. (JKNS)
