DC Budgam conducts on-site review of dev works at Sports Complex, Khel-Gaon Wathoora

BUDGAM: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo Monday visited under construction Sports Complex Khel-gaon Wathoora in Chadoora to review the progress of ongoing development work aimed at boosting sports infrastructure in the area.

The Rs.4.78 crore project, which is expected to enhance sports activities and provide better facilities for local youth, is progressing at a fast pace and is being built under the Capex funds of J&K Sports Council.

During the visit, the DC assessed various components of the project, including the health club, change rooms, washrooms, basketball and volleyball courts, fencing, seating tiers, jogging path, and development of the playfield. He took stock of the pace of work and emphasized the need for its timely completion.

Interacting with the officials and site engineers, the DC directed them to expedite the remaining work to ensure that the project meets its deadline and will be dedicated to the public soon.

The DC was accompanied by CPO Budgam, Executive Engineer J&K Sports Council, Tehsildar Chadoora, AEE Sports Council and other concerned officers during the inspection.
