DC Shopian meets HoIs of private educational institutions

DC directs strictly adherence to NEP, improvde facilities

Shopian : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shishir Gupta o Thursday chaired a meeting of officers of the education department and heads of institutions of private educational institutions of the district in order to discuss the issues requiring attention.
Various issues covering New Education Policy (NEP) including maintaining the healthy teacher – student ratio, admission for weaker sections as per Right to Education Act, accommodation matters, admission process and fees, academic and various other non academic matters were discussed with the head of institutions.
The DC called upon all participants to provide their noble services with best possible efficiency and in a professional way.
He sought strict adherence to the New Education Policy especially maintaining teacher- student ratio, admission of students from marginalized and poor sections, etc.
He also sought cooperation from them on issues of drug menace and the enforcement of tobacco control within the campuses and surroundings of educational institutions.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Shopian, Dr.Nasir Ahmad Lone; ADC, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz; ACR, CEO, DIO, ZEOs and Head of institutions.
