Anantnag, Nov 2 (JKNS): Anantnag Police on Monday said the Pehroo Sherbagh incident is under investigation and legal action is being taken in accordance with the law.
In a statement issued to news agency JKNS, police urged the public not to give any communal colour to the incident or circulate unverified information regarding the matter.
Police also cautioned people against donating money to anyone in connection with the incident, while appealing to the public to maintain peace, communal harmony and brotherhood.
The police further urged people to allow the investigation to proceed unhindered and refrain from spreading rumours or speculation. (JKNS)
