Bandipora, Nov 2 (JKNS): In a continued drive against illegal mining and transportation of minerals, Bandipora Police seized five tractors at Police Post Nowgam, Sub-Division Sumbal, for their involvement in the illegal transportation of clay.
The action was taken today, following which the Mining Department was informed for further necessary action.
Subsequently, the Mining Department issued online challans against all five seized tractors, amounting to ₹11,402 each, with a total challan amount of ₹57,010.
Bandipora Police reiterates its commitment to taking strict action against illegal mining and transportation of minerals in the district and urges the public to refrain from such unlawful activities.
