Srinagar, October 4: Rehmatullahi Alameen Foundation marked the completion of its ten-year journey of humanitarian and social welfare services by organising a special interactive programme at its head office in Bemina, Srinagar.
The programme was attended by social workers, representatives of various social and welfare organisations, Islamic scholars and other prominent personalities.
The event aimed to review the foundation’s social, humanitarian and welfare initiatives undertaken over the past decade and to further strengthen its commitment towards serving humanity in the years ahead.
Speaking on the occasion, the participants appreciated the foundation’s decade-long efforts and said that its initiatives aimed at promoting humanity, brotherhood, compassion and positive social values were commendable.
The speakers observed that the development of any society cannot be achieved through material resources alone, but also requires compassion, social responsibility and a spirit of mutual cooperation. They said welfare organisations play an important role in reaching out to vulnerable sections of society and helping reduce their difficulties. In this context, the ten-year journey of Rehmatullahi Alameen Foundation was described as a positive example of community service.
The programme was attended by Chief Guest Maulana Ashraf Guru, besides Molvi Abu Turab, Maulana Mufti Mudassir, Maulana Hilal, Waqar Fayyaz, Abbas Insight, Salman Ghazi, Ijaz Ahmad Baba, Riyaz Ahmad and Dr Irshad, among other dignitaries.
The participants congratulated Chairman Sheikh Firdous Ali and the entire foundation team on completing ten years of service and expressed hope that the organisation would further expand its social and welfare activities in the future.
The speakers urged the foundation’s management to make its initiatives more effective in the fields of humanitarian service, social welfare and promotion of positive thinking. They stressed the need for collective efforts to engage youth in constructive activities, assist people in need and strengthen the spirit of brotherhood in society.
At the conclusion of the programme, Chairman Rehmatullahi Alameen Foundation Sheikh Firdous Ali expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all distinguished guests, Islamic scholars, social workers, representatives of various organisations and participants for their presence and support.
He said the foundation has remained committed to the mission of serving humanity for the past ten years and would continue working with the same dedication, sincerity and sense of responsibility for the welfare of society.
Sheikh Firdous Ali further said that the foundation was committed to expanding the scope of its social services and promoting positive and constructive activities in collaboration with different sections of society.
The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to unity, brotherhood, humanitarian service and the collective welfare of society.
