Health Walk – Run Organised in Leh Under ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat – 100 Sundays Campaign’

Ladakh, Oct 4 (JKNS): A Health Walk – Run was organised today in Leh under the “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat, 100 Sundays Campaign”, with the theme “My Health, My Pride.” The programme aimed to promote physical fitness, healthy lifestyles, positive youth engagement and the message of a substance-free life among young people.

The walk commenced from Sangya Namgyal Chowk, Leh, and was flagged off by Ms. Bhanu Prabha, IAS, Administrative Secretary, School Education, Higher Education and Skill Development, UT of Ladakh.

 

Welcoming the participants, Ms. Tajamul Ara, State Director, MY Bharat Ladakh, appreciated the enthusiastic participation of youth and thanked all the officers and officials of the UT of Ladakh for their coordination and support in making the programme a success.

 

The Health Walk/Run witnessed by the participation of 800 + youths, MY Bharat volunteers, officials and members of the community. During the walk, participants were engaged through Nukkad Nataks (street plays), cultural activities and awareness messages highlighting the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and staying away from substance abuse.

 

The programme also featured a mass pledge, with participants reaffirming their commitment towards a healthy, active and addiction-free lifestyle and supporting the vision of a Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat.

 

The event culminated at NDS Ground, Leh, where the concluding programme was held. (JKNS)
