Anantnag, Oct 3 (JKNS): A Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organized today at Primary Health Centre (PHC) Gadool, Kokernag, in observance of National Voluntary Blood Donation Day.

 

The camp was organized by 164 Battalion CRPF in collaboration with the Department of Transfusion Medicine (Blood Centre), MMABM Associated Hospital, Government Medical College Anantnag, and the J&K State AIDS Control Society, Department of Health & Medical Education.

 

A large number of CRPF personnel and local youth from Gadool and adjoining areas of Kokernag participated in the camp and voluntarily donated blood.

 

Officials said the initiative was aimed at encouraging voluntary blood donation and spreading awareness about its importance in saving precious lives.

 

Officials also highlighted that the CRPF continues to serve society not only on the security front but also through various humanitarian and community-oriented initiatives.

 

Medical teams from PHC Gadool and GMC Anantnag assisted in conducting the blood donation camp.

 

Local residents appreciated the efforts of 164 Battalion CRPF for organizing the humanitarian initiative in the area and promoting awareness about voluntary blood donation. (JKNS)
