Kupwara, Sept 22 (JKNS): Several officer posts in the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Department in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district have reportedly remained vacant for the past one year, causing difficulties for people and affecting the functioning of various ICDS projects.
According to details received by news agency JKNS, the ICDS Project Langate is functioning without an officer, while the post at ICDS Project Trehgam is also lying vacant.
The ICDS Project Kralpora is reportedly facing a similar situation, with no officer presently posted there.
The officer posts at ICDS Projects Tangdar-Karnah and Wavoora, Lolab, have also reportedly remained vacant.
Similarly, no officer is reportedly available at ICDS Project Kalaroach, while the officer’s post at ICDS Project Sogam, Lolab, is also lying vacant.
Residents have urged the concerned authorities to take immediate cognisance of the issue and fill the vacant posts to ensure smooth functioning of the ICDS projects and prevent further inconvenience to the public.
They have also appealed to the higher authorities to intervene in the matter and make necessary arrangements for posting officers at the vacant positions. (JKNS)
