Awantipora, Sept 12 (JKNS): Police Awantipora organised a series of sports activities, including a Volleyball Tournament, Girls’ Kho-Kho competition and Race events, under the Civic Action Programme 2026–27, with the objective of promoting sports, physical fitness and constructive engagement among youth.
The events witnessed enthusiastic participation of local youth, including girls, who displayed remarkable talent, team spirit, discipline and sporting spirit. The initiative provided participants with a platform to showcase their abilities and encouraged them to pursue sports and other healthy activities.
The programme concluded in a cordial and enthusiastic atmosphere. Mementoes and medals were distributed among the winners and participants, while sports kits were also provided to encourage continued participation in sports. Refreshments were served to the participants and attendees.
Police Awantipora reiterated its commitment to promoting youth engagement through constructive activities and strengthening the bond between the police and the public through various initiatives under the Civic Action Programme 2026–27. (JKNS)
