Paper less examination: A New Beginning at Cluster University of Srinagar

Cluster University of Srinagar takes a major leap towards digital examinations by initiating Paperless Examination. In a significant stride towards digital transformation and modernization of the examination system, the Cluster University of Srinagar has initiated Paperless Examination for the B.Ed. Programme. The initiative is aimed at transforming the conventional examination process by integrating technology into various stages of examination management and evaluation. The paperless system is expected to enhance efficiency, transparency, accuracy and confidentiality while substantially reducing the manual interventions and reduction in carbon footprints by eliminating the use of paper and physical transport. The initiative has been widely appreciated as a reflection of the visionary leadership of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mohammad Mobin Cluster University of Srinagar, whose consistent emphasis on technological intervention and digital transformation has provided new momentum to the University’s academic and administrative systems. Under his visionary guidance, the University has been making concerted efforts to harness technology for ensuring greater efficiency, transparency and accessibility in its functioning. He has consistently advocated the adoption of innovative and technology-driven solutions to address contemporary challenges in higher education.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor, Cluster University of Srinagar, Prof. Mohammad Mobin appreciated the efforts of the Controller Examinations Prof. Khurshid Ahmad Mir and Dean Academic Affairs and Principal of the College of Education Prof. Seema Naaz in implementing this innovative initiative. He stated that the University is committed to adopting modern technologies and digital solutions for strengthening academic and administrative processes and providing efficient services to students.
The Vice-Chancellor further emphasized that the introduction of paperless examinations is in consonance with the vision of Digital India and the transformative objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which encourage the effective use of technology in higher education.
The paperless examination initiative for the B.Ed. Programme is expected to serve as a significant step towards developing a more efficient, transparent, secure and environmentally sustainable examination ecosystem. Based on the experience and successful implementation of the system, the University is committed to progressively extend the initiative to other academic programmes of the university in a phased manner.
The University authorities expressed confidence that the initiative will not only ease and streamline examination-related processes but will also contribute towards faster processing, improved record management and timely delivery of examination services.
The Cluster University of Srinagar continues to make consistent efforts towards building a technology-enabled, student-centric and progressive academic ecosystem in keeping with contemporary developments in higher education.
