Srinagar, Aug 29 (JKNS): A 60-year-old bus conductor died after falling from a moving bus after an auto-rickshaw allegedly hit the vehicle in the Muniwar area of Srinagar, officials said on Saturday.
Reports reaching news agency JKNS that the conductor was standing near the door of the bus when an auto-rickshaw suddenly hit it, causing him to lose his balance and fall from the moving vehicle.
The conductor sustained serious head injuries in the incident and was immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment, where he later succumbed to his injuries, the official said.
The deceased has been identified as Abdul Majeed Teli, 60, son of Ghulam Mohammad Teli, a resident of Nawabazar, Srinagar.
Meanwhile, police have initiated an investigation into the incident, and further details are awaited. (JKNS)
