Srinagar, Aug 29 (JKNS): BHSS Nowpora Cluster celebrated National Sports Day with great enthusiasm and sporting spirit, marking the birth anniversary of legendary Indian hockey player Major Dhyan Chand.
The programme brought together students, athletes, teachers and sports enthusiasts to celebrate the importance of sports, fitness, discipline and teamwork. The event also witnessed the felicitation of winners and outstanding participants of various sporting activities conducted at the cluster level.
As part of the celebration, students enthusiastically participated in a variety of traditional games, providing a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with India’s rich sporting heritage while promoting physical activity, teamwork and healthy competition.
The winners and runners-up were presented with trophies, medals and certificates in recognition of their hard work, dedication and sporting excellence.
