Srinagar, Aug 26 (JKNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the eve of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), praying for peace, prosperity, harmony and well-being across the Union Territory.
In his message, as per news agency JKNS, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) convey an enduring message of peace, equality, compassion and universal brotherhood.
He urged people to draw inspiration from the Prophet’s teachings and uphold the values of love, kindness, compassion and brotherhood in their daily lives.
“On this sacred day, let us pledge to live by his values of love, kindness, and universal brotherhood and work together to foster a more harmonious, inclusive and united society,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also conveyed his greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion, highlighting the timeless message of peace, compassion, brotherhood and mutual respect associated with the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
The Chief Minister prayed for lasting peace, prosperity, communal harmony and the well-being of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, expressing hope that the occasion would further strengthen bonds of unity and mutual respect.
Both leaders urged people to observe Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi in the true spirit of the Prophet’s teachings and collectively work towards a peaceful, inclusive, harmonious and united society.
They extended their Eid Mubarak greetings to the people of J&K and prayed that the sacred occasion brings peace, happiness and prosperity to all. (JKNS)
