Making their league debut, Almuqeet FC produced a confident and attacking display, marking an encouraging start for a club with a long-term vision of developing a competitive senior team while creating a strong pathway for young footballers in Jammu & Kashmir.

Almuqeet FC is a football initiative of Almuqeet Systems Private Limited (ASPL), established in 2010 and headquartered at STPI, Rangreth, Srinagar. Through the club, ASPL aims to bring meaningful corporate support to football and contribute to a more structured and sustainable sporting ecosystem in J&K.

The club’s vision is to establish a professionally managed football club and academy that can identify, nurture and develop local talent, while progressively competing at the highest levels of Indian football. Its current squad includes players with experience in Youth National Teams, the I-League, Srinagar Premier Division and Kashmir Super League, supported by an experienced coaching and management team.

Muzamil Mahmood, Head Coach, Almuqeet FC (AFC A License), said the manner of the team’s beginning was more important than the scoreline. “This is a new club and our vision is to provide a pathway to players and play good-quality football. The result does not matter much to me; what matters is that we started well and our management has trusted us. This is only the beginning. We have a lot to learn and improve.” He said.

Zaffar Owais Andrabi, CEO, Almuqeet Systems Private Limited, congratulated the team and said the victory was only the first step. He said “Kashmir has a remarkable football culture and enormous talent. We need better pathways, stronger structures and more opportunities for young players to progress. We want to build a club that young footballers can look towards a platform that helps them dream, develop and compete, and ultimately takes the talent of Kashmir to the highest levels of Indian football.”

Almuqeet FCs focus in future will be on building consistency, developing its players and establishing itself as a significant force in Kashmir football.
