80th Independence Day Celebrated with Patriotic Fervour Across Sopore & Adjoining Areas

Sopore, Aug 15 (JKNS): The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm across Sopore and adjoining areas, with colourful programmes, impressive student performances and enthusiastic participation from people representing different sections of society.
At Khushal Stadium, Sopore, the main Independence Day function was held with a series of cultural, patriotic and other programmes.

ADC Sopore Dr. S. A. Raina unfurled the National Flag amid a large and enthusiastic gathering. He was accompanied by SSP Sopore Shri Iftikhar Talib-JKPS.

The celebrations were attended by CO 179-BN CRPF Shri V. K. Choudhary, CO 177-BN, CO 22 RR, officers of the civil administration from various departments, ASP Sopore Sarfaraz Bashir, SDPO Sopore Mohammad Rafi and other police officials.

CEO Municipal Council Sopore Wali Mohammad Wani was also present.

A huge gathering comprising school students, local volunteers, Traders federation, industry members,Political Activists, ,civil society members, Lumberdars and other participants joined the celebrations.

The vibrant participation and cultural programmes added colour to the occasion and reflected the spirit of patriotism, unity and national pride.

Independence Day Celebrations at Bomai
At Bomai, Sopore, the National Flag was unfurled by Tehsildar Bomai Zahid Rasheed during a mega Independence Day celebration held at Government Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS) Bomai.

The programme brought together educationists, officers, officials, community representatives, teachers and students in a spirit of patriotism and unity. The event was attended by the Tehsildar Bomai, SHO Bomai Zia Ur Rehman, Chairman Civil Society Bomai Mohd Ramzan , Principal GDC Bomai Ab Qayoom, Headmaster GHS Bomai, along with other officers, officials, teachers and students from schools across the cluster.

Students enthusiastically participated in a variety of cultural, patriotic and co-curricular programmes, showcasing their talent, creativity and confidence.

Their vibrant performances reflected the spirit of unity, patriotism and responsible citizenship.

At the conclusion, the Principal, BHSS Bomai, extended a heartfelt vote of thanks to all dignitaries, officers, officials, staff members, participating schools, teachers and students for their valuable presence and enthusiastic participation in making the celebration a memorable success.

Celebrations in Dangerpora-Zaingair
In Dangerpora, Zaingair, the National Flag was unfurled by Tehsildar Kaisar Zargar during the Independence Day celebrations. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents, students, officials and other members of the community.

The celebrations across Sopore, Bomai and Dangerpora-Zaingair reflected a strong sense of patriotism, unity and collective pride, with people coming together to mark the 80th Independence Day with enthusiasm and national spirit. (JKNS)
