The event witnessed the participation of a large number of party workers, supporters and local residents.

During the convention, several people joined the JDU in the presence of the party leadership. Welcoming the new entrants, G.M. Shaheen said their joining would further strengthen the party at the grassroots level.

Addressing the gathering, Shaheen criticised the National Conference, alleging that it has repeatedly failed the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He further claimed that the Central Government would not grant statehood to Jammu and Kashmir under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

Several senior JDU leaders were also present on the occasion and highlighted the party’s programmes and organisational activities. They urged workers to remain united and intensify public outreach to strengthen the party across the region.

The convention concluded with party leaders reaffirming their commitment to expanding the organisation and addressing issues affecting the people of Jammu and Kashmir. (JKNS)
