Srinagar, July 31 (JKNS): Continuing its intensified drive against narcotics trafficking, Anantnag Police on Friday apprehended an alleged drug peddler during a naka checking operation in Bijbehara and recovered brown sugar from his possession, officials said.
As per news agency JKNS, Police apprehended a drug peddler during naka checking at Pazalpora Bijbehara.
The apprehended individual has been identified as Mohammad Irfan Khan, son of Mohammad Jahangir Khan, resident of Bawana, New Delhi, presently residing at Awantipora. During checking, brown sugar weighing about 5.20 grams was recovered from his possession.
In this regard, FIR No. 231/2026 under Sections 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bijbehara, and investigation has been initiated to ascertain further links and connections in the case.
