Breng Journalists Association Conducts Cleanliness Drive at Goihard, Kokernag

Kokernag, July 30 (JKNS): Demonstrating its commitment towards environmental conservation and social responsibility, the Breng Journalists Association (BJA), in collaboration with local residents and health department , organized a cleanliness drive at Goihard, Kokernag, along the banks of the Brengi River.

The initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness and preserve the natural beauty of the Brengi River by removing waste and encouraging the public to maintain cleanliness in and around the river.

Participants actively collected litter and appealed to visitors and residents to avoid dumping garbage into the waterbody.

Speaking on the occasion Vice president of BJA Mr Ishfaq Wagay , emphasized that the Brengi River is a valuable natural resource and a lifeline for many communities.

They stressed that protecting the river from pollution is a shared responsibility and called upon the public to join hands in safeguarding the environment for future generations. He further said cleanliness is not just one-day activity,it shoud be part of our daily life .

The medical team and local volunteers also participated enthusiastically in the drive, highlighting the close connection between a clean environment and good public health. They appreciated the efforts of the Association in organizing such a meaningful community initiative.

The Breng Journalists Association thanked all local residents, volunteers, and the medical team for their active participation and expressed hope that similar awareness and cleanliness campaigns would continue in the future to ensure a cleaner, healthier, and greener Breng Valley. (JKNS)
