Srinagar, July 28 (JKNS): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday expressed deep concern over the road accident at Gund in Kangan area of Ganderbal district, in which several Amarnath Yatra pilgrims returning to Srinagar after performing the pilgrimage sustained injuries.

As per news agency JKNS, the Chief Minister directed the authorities to ensure the best possible medical care for all the injured pilgrims without any delay.

He also deputed Health and Medical Education Minister Sakina Itoo to visit the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura, and personally oversee the treatment and medical arrangements for the injured devotees.

The Chief Minister said the government is closely monitoring the situation and all necessary assistance is being extended to the injured pilgrims. (JKNS)
