The medical camp was conducted with the support of Capt. Zaffar from 419 Field Hospital, Uri, along with Dr. Ghulam Nabi (MBBS) of Primary Health Centre, Bijhama, and Dr. Akib Khan (MBBS) of Civil Hospital, Bijhama. The medical team carried out comprehensive health examinations, diagnosed common ailments, prescribed medicines, and spread awareness about health, hygiene, and preventive care.

The camp received an overwhelming response, with nearly 250 people availing free medical services. The beneficiaries included 95 men, 110 women, and 45 children, all of whom received medical consultations and essential medicines free of cost.

Residents from Bararipura, Mayian, Kathal, and Muqampiran appreciated the initiative and expressed gratitude to the Indian Army and the civil health authorities for bringing healthcare services to their doorstep.

The successful conduct of the medical camp under the IW programme further strengthened mutual trust between the Army and the local community, reaffirming the Indian Army’s commitment to the welfare, well-being, and development of the people in remote areas .(JKNS)
