Kupwara, July 23 (JKNS): The District Administration Kupwara on Tuesday organised a farewell-cum-welcome function to bid an affectionate farewell to the outgoing District Information Officer (DIO), Iftakhar Naseem, and warmly welcome Aadil Manzoor Wani as the new District Information Officer.
Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, appreciated the dedicated services rendered by Iftakhar Naseem during his tenure in the district. He commended his professionalism, sincerity, and commitment towards strengthening the flow of information between the administration, media, and the public. The Deputy Commissioner wished him success and excellence in his future assignments.
Welcoming Aadil Manzoor Wani, the Deputy Commissioner expressed confidence in his abilities and hoped that he would continue to work with dedication, further strengthening public outreach and ensuring effective dissemination of government programmes and initiatives across the district.
The event was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kupwara, Gulzar Ahmad Khan; Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR), Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad; Chief Planning Officer (CPO), Parvaiz Ahmad; Accounts Officer, Javaid Ahmad; besides other officers and officials of the District Administration.
The officers extended their best wishes to the outgoing DIO for his future endeavours and assured full cooperation to the newly posted officer for a successful tenure in Kupwara.
On the occasion, the administration also appreciated the constructive role played by the media in highlighting developmental activities and public issues. Peerzada Sayeed, a journalist from Karnah, was acknowledged for his dedicated and impactful contribution to journalism, with his consistent reporting on public welfare, governance, and grassroot issues earning appreciation from those present.
