Anantnag, July 22 (JKNS): A peaceful candlelight march was organised at Verinag Main Market on Wednesday to condemn the recent terrorist attack in Anantnag that claimed the life of Head Constable Ashiq Hussain.
The march, as per details received by news agency JKNS, was led by DDC Member Peer Shahbaz and witnessed participation from local residents and shopkeepers.
Participants carried candles, paid floral tributes to the martyred policeman and observed prayers in his memory while expressing solidarity with the bereaved family.
During the march, the participants strongly condemned the terror attack and raised slogans against terrorism, reiterating their resolve to stand united against violence and support peace in the region.
The gathering also conveyed heartfelt condolences to the family of the slain police personnel and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. (JKNS)
