Srinagar, July 21 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Tuesday extended the summer vacation for all government and recognised private schools in the Kashmir Division and Winter Zones of Jammu Division till July 26, 2026, in view of prevailing weather conditions.

Education Minister Sakina Itoo, as per news agency JKNS, said the decision has been taken keeping the safety and well-being of students, teachers and their families as the top priority.

 

She said all schools in the affected regions will now reopen on Monday, July 27, 2026.

 

The Minister appealed to the public to remain safe, stay vigilant and strictly follow the advisories issued by the concerned authorities.

 

“I request everyone to stay safe, remain vigilant and follow the advisories issued by the concerned authorities. Wishing everyone good health and safety,” she said. (JKNS)
