Summer Vacation Extended in Winter Zone Schools of Jammu Till July 22

Schools to Reopen on July 23; DSEJ Issues Fresh Order Following Government Approval.

Jammu, July 19 (JKNS): The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has extended the summer vacation in all Government and recognized private schools up to the Higher Secondary level falling in the winter zone of Jammu Division till July 22, 2026.

According to an order issued by the Director School Education Jammu, a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS, the decision has been taken following the approval of the competent authority and in continuation to the Directorate’s earlier order issued on July 1, 2026.

The order states that all Government and recognized private schools up to the Higher Secondary level in the winter zone of Jammu Division shall now remain closed till July 22 (Wednesday).

It further states that all schools will reopen on July 23, 2026 (Thursday).
The order has been issued by the Director School Education Jammu under Order No. 254-DSEJ of 2026 dated July 18, 2026. (JKNS)
