The matter was placed before the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, who directed that the Deputy Chief Minister’s response be obtained in the first instance before further proceedings.

MLA Ranbir Singh Pathania, in his privilege notice, alleged that the Deputy Chief Minister’s actions led to his exclusion from official functions and government programmes organised in his constituency, claiming it amounted to a breach of legislative privilege.

Further action in the matter is expected after the Assembly Secretariat receives the Deputy Chief Minister’s reply. (JKNS)
