Srinagar, July 8 (JKNS): The Chief Education Officer (CEO), Ganderbal, has placed four government teachers under suspension with immediate effect following a communication received from the Nodal Officer, Transit Camp Manigam, regarding alleged lapses during Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY-2026) duties.

According to an order issued by the Chief Education Officer, Ganderbal, a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS, the action was taken after a communication from the Nodal Officer, Transit Camp Manigam (Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Ganderbal), vide Letter No. TCM/SANJY/2026/173-77 dated July 7, 2026.

The suspended officials have been identified as Bilal Ahmad Sheikh, son of Mohammad Hussain Sheikh, resident of Haripora Kangan; Aabid Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, resident of Manigam; Peer Mudasir, son of Abdul Rashid Shah, resident of Wussan; and Gowhar Rashid Kuloo, son of Abdul Rashid Kuloo, resident of Gund.

The order states that all four officials shall remain under suspension with immediate effect. However, the order does not specify the exact nature of the alleged lapses that led to the disciplinary action. (JKNS)
