Srinagar, July 2 (JKNS): Saving The Future (STF) NGO organised a Women Hygiene Awareness Programme at New Public Modern School, Bemina, with the aim of promoting menstrual hygiene awareness, healthy practices, and the importance of personal hygiene among young girls.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members of the school. Ms. Soliha Khan, Counsellor, delivered an informative session highlighting the significance of menstrual hygiene, breaking social taboos, and encouraging girls to adopt safe and hygienic practices.
The Principal of New Public Modern School also addressed the gathering, appreciating the initiative taken by Saving The Future NGO and stressing the importance of creating awareness about such vital health issues within educational institutions.
The Chairman of Saving The Future NGO spoke about the organisation’s commitment to empowering youth through awareness campaigns and community outreach programmes. He encouraged students to become informed, confident, and responsible ambassadors of health and hygiene within their families and communities.
Students actively participated in the interactive session by sharing their views, asking questions, and engaging in meaningful discussions on women’s health and hygiene.
As part of the programme, essential hygiene products were distributed among the students, reinforcing the message that access to hygiene resources is fundamental to health, dignity, and well-being.
