According to the advisory, as per news agency JKNS, a Muharram procession will proceed from Dangerpora to Shahtulpora, during which motorists have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel on the affected road stretch in view of expected traffic congestion.

As per the advisory, traffic diversions and rerouting will remain in force during the procession. Vehicles travelling from Srinagar towards Bandipora and Gurez will be diverted via Sopore–Bandipora–Gurez Road, while traffic from Gurez and Bandipora towards Srinagar will be diverted at Chewa–Safapora via Ganderbal.

Traffic coming from Sumbal towards Srinagar will be routed through Naidkhai–Hamray–Narbal, while vehicles travelling from Srinagar towards Sumbal will be diverted via Takanwari through Shadipora Bridge.

The administration further stated that the Dangerpora–Shahtulpora road stretch will remain a complete no-ply zone during the procession.
