Publication of such content without permission can compromise security, expose personnel to avoidable risk and assist hostile elements in analysing procedures, identifying weaknesses and planning adverse action.

Media coverage of public events and official programmes is welcome; however, it must be undertaken in a responsible manner and without compromising operational security. Prior permission should be obtained wherever recording of police/security arrangements or officers on duty is involved.

All concerned are advised to strictly adhere to this advisory. Any irresponsible publication or circulation of material prejudicial to security or public order may invite appropriate action under law. (JKNS)
