Srinagar, Jun 14 (JKNS): On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, the 44 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Saturday organised a blood donation camp at its headquarters in HMT Complex, Zainakote, Srinagar.
The camp was held under the command of Shri Krishan Pal Yadav, Commandant, 44 Bn CRPF, and commenced with blood donation by the Commandant himself, accompanied by his wife, Smt. Deepti Yadav, Deputy Commandant Shri Yogesh Kumar, and other unit personnel.
A total of 50 officers and personnel of the battalion voluntarily donated blood, demonstrating their commitment to community service and humanitarian causes.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Umar Mohiuddin, Administrator, Ujala Cygnus Hospital, along with a team of five medical staff members and Dr. Adil Aziz, Medical Officer of 44 Bn CRPF.
On the occasion, the Commandant expressed gratitude to representatives of the electronic and print media as well as all attendees for their presence and cooperation. (JKNS)
