St. Petersburg, June 5 (JKNS): Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that Russia will continue to deepen investments and economic engagement with India, expressing confidence that bilateral trade between the two countries will reach USD 100 billion in the coming years.
As per news agency JKNS, Putin made the remarks during an interaction with heads of leading international news agencies in St. Petersburg, where he described India as one of the world’s fastest-growing major economies and a reliable strategic partner of Russia.
Putin said Russia attaches great importance to its partnership with India and intends to further expand cooperation across various sectors. He noted that trade and economic ties between the two countries have shown significant growth in recent years and voiced optimism that bilateral trade would soon cross the USD 100 billion mark.
The Russian President also praised India’s economic achievements and development trajectory, stating that the country continues to demonstrate impressive growth and increasing global influence.
Putin reiterated Russia’s commitment to strengthening long-standing ties with India and enhancing cooperation in trade, investment and other key areas of mutual interest. (JKNS)
