Drone-Dropped Heroin Consignment Seized Near IB in Jammu’s Bishnah Sector

Jammu, May 20 (JKNS): In a major success against cross-border narcotics smuggling, Jammu Police recovered approximately three kilograms of heroin near the International Border in the Bishnah area of Jammu district during a special surveillance operation.

As pwr news agency JKNS, Acting on specific intelligence inputs developed over the past week, Jammu Headquarters Zone Police recovered approx 3 Kg heroin near the International Border in Bishnah area, which was reportedly dropped through a drone from across the border.

 

Police teams had maintained continuous surveillance in the suspected area, leading to the successful seizure of the consignment before it could reach the intended handlers. FSL team has been called to the spot for further examination.

 

Investigation is underway to trace the backward and forward linkages involved in the cross-border narco network. (JKNS)
