Ramban, May 19 (JKNS): At least one person lost his life while at-least eleven others sustained injuries after a passenger bus overturned on the Gool-Sangaldan road near Sangaldan area of Ramban district on Tuesday, officials said.

Officials told JKNS that the accident occurred after a bus bearing registration number JK02CU-7482 reportedly lost control and overturned on the roadside.

Soon after the incident, rescue and relief operations were launched by police, locals and emergency teams, who rushed the injured persons to nearby medical facilities for treatment.

Officials said one passenger died in the accident, while several others sustained injuries, some of whom are stated to be serious.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident, while further details are awaited. (JKNS)
