The primary objective of the camp was to provide essential healthcare services to the residents of Pallar, Budgam, Nasrullapora, Ichgam, Hyderpora, Ompora and adjoining areas, particularly addressing the healthcare challenges faced by economically and educationally weaker sections of society.

During the camp, preventive and curative healthcare services were provided to the general public. A total of 350 patients received medical treatment and consultations, while more than 700 villagers, including elders, women, men, and children, benefitted through healthcare assistance, medicines, and awareness programmes.

Special focus was laid on women’s health, child healthcare, geriatric care, and eye treatment. The camp also included awareness sessions on maternal and child health, sanitation, hygiene, and common seasonal ailments prevalent in remote areas.

The initiative significantly strengthened trust and goodwill between the Army and the local population and reflected the Army’s continued commitment towards the welfare and well-being of the people. The outreach programme also enhanced community engagement and projected the humanitarian role of the Army in the region.

Officials stated that such initiatives help in fostering a sense of inclusiveness and strengthen the bond between security forces and the local community. (JKNS)
